Gold Hill Mine, Gold Hill, Tooele Co., Utah, USA. Dimensions: 4.6 x 3.5 x 2.0, miniature. Numerous, bright blue patches of Lavendulan decorate the top, sides and back of this rich specimen from the Gold Hill Mine in Utah. Good specimens of Lavendulan like this are now very rare form this locality. There is great contrast between the vibrant blue Lavendulan and the matrix grayish matrix to make it really stand out. Lavendulan is a rare, hydrated, sodium-calcium-copper arsenate with a tad bit of chlorine and it is one of a relatively small group of minerals (other than Quartz!)
