RARE SULPHOHALITE (TL) CRYSTAL - 1.7 cm - SEARLES LAKE, CALIFORNIA
This is a good small thumbnail example of this rare sulfate reported from only three locations in the world. The specimen features two crystals, one is badly eroded and serves as a stand for the other which is sharp and complete all around, but with minor damage as seen in the photos. The props in the photos are not included.
The crystals come from the type locality (TL) for the species; site of first discovery.
