RARE SEGNITITE and MIMETITE CRYSTALS - 4.4 cm -OJUELA MINE, MAPIMI, MEXICO
From a find in late 2010, these specimens from Mapimi hosted several rare minerals including arsenbrackebushite, tsumcorite and segnitite. Often associated with mimetite.
This miniature specimen features coverage of a microcrystalline crust of ochre and yellow segnitite
on one end with some with coverage of colorless mimetite crystals on the top of the specimen.
With magnification there is a lot to explore!
