RARE ARAGONITE VAR. TARNOWITZITE W/ CONICHALCITE FROM TSUMEB MINE, NAMIBIA

Description

Here is a stunning and colorful specimen featuring aragonite var. tarnowitzite (aka plumboan aragonite) with calcite and conichalcite from Tsumeb Mine, Namibia. The tarnowitzite is very abundant with crystals covering nearly the entire specimen. The conichalcite provides an excellent contrast as well, giving this piece a lively look. One of the larger tarnowitzite crystals appears to have malachite included within it. There are also a few areas that look like an epimorph made a cast after another mineral. This is a superb Tsumeb specimen! The dimensions are 7.3 by 6.3 by 5 cm.
