RARE ALSTONITE (TL) CRYSTALS - 3 cm - FALLOWFIELD MINE, ENGLAND
Alstonite is a rare barium calcite carbonate. This is a good thumbnail from the co-type locality and an old collection. The white alstonite crystals are small and require a microscope to view them well. The best crystals are along the side of the specimen, while the crystals inside the vug have some overgrowth by other minerals.
This specimen will be shipped mounted in its plastic display (perky) box with a label from the previous collection.
