    I bought this in 2002 on a buying trip in Zimbabwe.  I do not know what the hoop is made of,  only know it is non-magnetic.  Made in Africa so probably not silver.  Matching Bangles in my store.  Also more Malachite Earrings.  For that special touch of Green.   This came from the Congo (says the seller). Congo is a primary Malachite mining area. I just recently uncovered a bag of Malachite items. More in my store category African Art..
