2 Vintage Bud Vases & Open Jam/Jelly in Coin Glass-Clear  USA & Canada - Crystal
Up for your consideration is this lovely vintage set of coin glass by Fostoria.
Two vintage coin glass bud vases and one open jam/jelly compote.
The bud vases are in very good shape with one minor fleabite
to the bottom of the pedestal base.
The jam /jelly compote is in excellent condition with no fleabites.
It is decorated with six coins that depict animals commonly found in Canada.
The animals include a wolf, goose and a bobcat.
The vase was produced to commemorate Canada’s Centennial (its 100th birthday) in 1967.
“Fostoria began producing its version of Coin Glass in the 1950s. Instead of U.S. coins or foreign coins, Fostoria used its own versions of “coins” displaying patriotic Americana designs; the Liberty Bell, stars and freedom torches. Available in every color that Fostoria produced, the collection continually expanded and included stemware, candy dishes, ashtrays, candlesticks, vases, bowls and urns. The company continued to produce Coin Glass until 1982.”
